Supervising in Tennessee is a three-hour, text-based home study course for clinical supervisors and associates under the Tennessee Board for Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marital and Family Therapists, and Licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapists. It covers supervisor qualifications, the clinical setting, the associate license, written agreements, primary and additional supervisors under the September 2025 policies, logs and rounding, evaluation and gatekeeping, telehealth hours under Tenn. Code Ann. § 63-1-155, telesupervision, liability, risk situations, and the supervisory relationship. It is designed for the three hours of supervision continuing education that LPC supervisors complete every two years.
