This policy explains what information Dr. Paulson Professional Counseling LLC (“we” or “us”) collects on drpaulsoncounseling.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our website offers online continuing education courses for counselors, therapists, social workers, and addiction professionals.
Information you give us
- Account and order information. When you create an account or buy a course, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and, if you add it, your company or organization.
- License information. If you want your hours reported to CE Broker, we collect your license number, license state, and profession.
- Course activity. We keep a record of the courses you take, your progress, your post-test results, your evaluations, and your certificates. Our approving bodies ask us to keep these records.
- Email sign-ups. If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address and any details you choose to share in the sign-up form.
- Messages. If you contact us, we keep your message and our reply.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We do not see or store your full card number. Those companies handle your payment information under their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
Cookies
This website uses a small first-party cookie to remember how you found us, such as a search engine, a social media post, an email, or another website, along with the first page you visited and the date. It does not store your name, email address, or payment information, and we do not sell or share it with other companies. If you buy a course, this information is saved with your order so we can see which of our marketing works. The cookie expires after 90 days, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
The site also uses cookies that keep you signed in and remember what is in your cart. Our email service may set a cookie to recognize subscribers who click a link in our emails.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed with the services that run our business, which include our website host, Stripe and PayPal for payments, CE Broker for reporting your hours, and Kit for our email newsletter. Our approving bodies, such as NBCC and NAADAC, may review course records during an audit. We may also share information when the law requires it.
Emails
Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You will still get emails about your account and courses, such as receipts and certificates.
Your choices
You can update your account details at any time. You can also email us to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it. We will keep the course and certificate records we are required to keep for our approving bodies.
Do Not Track
Our website does not change how it works when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Children
Our courses are for adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or online service can be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
