Florida Certification Board Approved Courses
Dr. Paulson Professional Counseling LLC is an approved education provider with the Florida Certification Board (Approved Provider #5572-A). This page lists our courses organized by FCB credential, covering the full range of certifications from addiction counseling and case management to peer support and gambling counseling. All courses are online, self-paced, and include a certificate of completion after passing a short test.
Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) / Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP)

Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor (CGAC)
CGAC requires 85 initial training hours (Addiction Theories 10, Basic Knowledge of Problems and Pathological Gambling 16, Gambling Counseling Practice 20, Specific Issues in Gambling 24, and Professional Issues 15) and renews annually with 10 CE hours (20 CE hours for MCAP/CAP holders, at least 10 of which must be gambling-specific). Note that CGAC is a prerequisite-based credential: applicants must already hold an active Florida license under Chapter 397, or an active MCAP or CAP credential, before applying. An active National Certified Gambling Counselor I or II credential also satisfies the training hour requirement in place of the 85-hour breakdown above.
