The North Dakota LAC/LMAC/LCAC 29-Hour Clinical Bundle
This 29-hour bundle covers the core clinical competencies North Dakota LACs, LMACs, and LCACs need for renewal — screening and biopsychosocial assessment, ASAM criteria, case management, family psychoeducation, 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality, documentation, and NAADAC ethics. The 6-hour ethics requirement is built in. At exactly 29 asynchronous hours, it safely maxes out NDBACE's 30-hour distance learning cap, leaving just 11 hours to complete through required live instruction. Under NDBACE rules, licensees must complete a total of 40 hours every two years, but a maximum of 30 hours may be earned through asynchronous distance learning. Furthermore, no single distance-learning course can exceed 25 hours. By taking this 29-hour bundle, the counselor will need to obtain their remaining 11 hours through live, synchronous instruction.
