The Counseling Compact and Interstate Telehealth Law (3 Hours) -Arizona

Overview
Curriculum

The Counseling Compact and Interstate Telehealth Law is a three-hour, text-based home study course for licensed professional counselors, supervisors, practice owners, and other behavioral health professionals who serve clients across state lines. The course explains why licensure is state-based and why counseling occurs where the client is located, then walks through the Counseling Compact in detail: home state and remote state definitions, member state standards, eligibility for a privilege to practice, applying through CompactConnect, fees, jurisprudence requirements, telehealth, remote state law, adverse actions, changing home states, and the operational status of member states as of September 2026. The final module covers interstate practice outside the Compact, including full licensure, temporary practice, telehealth registrations, PSYPACT and the Social Work Licensure Compact, international clients, location verification, informed consent, emergency planning, mandated reporting, insurance, and a written interstate practice policy. Upon successful completion of the post-test, hours are reported directly to CE Broker.
