Florida Qualified Supervisor Renewal Training (4 Hours)

This four hour, text-based home study course is the supervisory training renewal course for Florida qualified supervisors. It is built around the four hours of supervisory training that Fla. Admin. Code R. 64B4-6.001(5) requires every third biennium and the course content listed in Fla. Admin. Code R. 64B4-6.0025.

Module 1 covers changes in Florida laws and rules relating to registered interns and qualified supervisors, and the supervisor's legal duties. Module 2 covers electronic delivery of supervision, confidentiality, and the ethical, legal, and regulatory issues of teletherapy under Florida law. Module 3 covers the research on effective supervision models and cultural issues in the supervisory relationship. Module 4 covers documentation of supervision, accountability of both the supervisor and the intern, common challenges in supervision, and the business aspects of supervision. Each module includes a practical routine, a tool training, a skills practice, and Florida case studies.

This course is for the renewal requirement only. It does not replace the initial 12-hour qualified supervisor training, which Florida requires to be delivered live.

Dr. Paulson Professional Counseling LLC is an approved continuing education provider of the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling (approval effective March 13, 2025 through March 1, 2029). Completions are reported to the Florida Department of Health through CE Broker (provider tracking #50-57187).
