Tennessee Ethics and Jurisprudence is a three-hour, text-based home study course built on Tennessee Code Annotated Title 63, Chapter 22 and board rules 0450-01, 0450-02, and 0450-03. It covers the board, LPC and LPC/MHSP scope of practice, the 2026 associate license, supervision, renewal, continuing education and the multi-media limit, advertising, the adopted codes of ethics, the 2016 conscience statute, privilege, records, minors, discipline, the duty to warn, child and adult abuse reporting, telehealth, the Counseling Compact, and supervision ethics. The course is designed around the Tennessee Board's requirement for three hours of ethics and jurisprudence every two years for LPCs, LMFTs, and LCPTs. Upon successful completion of the post-test, hours are reported directly to CE Broker.
