This 6-hour continuing education course, Theoretical Frameworks and Models of Clinical Supervision, introduces the foundational theories that guide the structure, process, and interventions used during clinical supervision. Professionals study developmental models that adapt to a counselor's growing experience, psychotherapy-based models drawn from theories of clinical change, and integrative, systemic, and competency-based frameworks. The course equips supervisors to assess where a supervisee actually stands and to tailor feedback and teaching methods to that specific stage of growth. Upon successful completion of this course, your earned hours are immediately reported to CE Broker.
CE Broker reporting covers the 16 boards in 10 states where I'm a registered provider. Everyone gets a certificate to download right away.
State Board & Regulatory Disclaimer (Texas): The Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, under the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC), accepts asynchronous distance learning from NBCC-approved providers with no cap on online CE hours. A licensee holding LPC Supervisor status completes 6 hours of continuing education in supervision each 2-year renewal period, which this program is designed to cover; remaining hours apply toward the 24-hour biennial CE requirement. BHEC no longer pre-approves individual providers or courses, and licensees must obtain at least 50 percent of their CE hours from qualified sources under the Texas 50 percent rule. Completion of this course satisfies continuing education requirements only; supervisor designation and license renewal must be submitted directly to BHEC, and licensees are responsible for verifying their category allocations and the current jurisprudence and human trafficking requirements.
