Georgia LPC Supervisors: The ACS Route Under Board Rule 135-5-.01

Under Georgia Board Rule 135-5-.01, LPCs who provide supervision that began after September 30, 2018 hold one of two credentials: the NBCC Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) or the LPCAGA Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS). Here’s how the ACS route works.

At a glance: the ACS route is a 45-hour training program from a CCE Registered Credential Training Provider, followed by your application to the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE).

The ACS route, step by step

  1. Complete a 45-hour ACS training program from a CCE Registered Credential Training Provider.
  2. Apply to CCE for the Approved Clinical Supervisor credential.
