Tennessee Board of Examiners of Psychology
Our continuing education (CE) courses are curated for the renewal requirements of the Tennessee Board of Examiners of Psychology. Licensees, including Psychologists, Senior Psychological Examiners, and Psychological Examiners, must complete 40 contact hours every two years. The Tennessee Board allows continuing education to be completed online; however, at least 20 of the 40 hours must involve real-time interaction, so no more than 20 self-paced hours can be applied per renewal cycle. Renewal requirements include 3 hours covering the Tennessee code, the board's rules, and professional ethics; 3 hours dedicated to cultural diversity; and at least 9 hours provided by an APA-approved sponsor. Dr. Paulson Professional Counseling LLC is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, and the Tennessee Board accepts CE from NBCC Approved Continuing Education Providers as Other Sponsor Approved Continuing Education under Rule 1180-01-.08(2)(b), within these limits. Our courses count toward your 40 hours, including the required 3 hours of Tennessee jurisprudence and ethics, but they do not count toward the 9 hours that must come from an APA-approved sponsor.
