Georgia Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists

Our continuing education (CE) courses are designed to meet the standards of the Georgia Composite Board for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs). Georgia independent licensees must complete 35 CE hours every two-year renewal cycle and retain documentation for four years. Within those 35 hours, requirements include a minimum of 5 ethics hours, a minimum of 15 core hours directly related to your license specialty, up to 15 hours in related allied fields, and 6 hours of TeleMental Health training prior to practicing distance counseling (or 9 hours if providing remote clinical supervision) — all of which may count toward your 35-hour total.Under Georgia Composite Board Rule 135-9-.01, asynchronous (self-paced) online CE is strictly capped at 10 hours per two-year renewal cycle, and all 5 required ethics hours must be completed through synchronous (live) activities only — asynchronous ethics hours are not permitted. Please ensure you do not exceed your 10-hour asynchronous cap when purchasing course bundles. Synchronous live webinars carry no hour limit and are treated the same as in-person training. Clinicians practicing telehealth are also subject to the laws of the state where the client or supervisee is physically located and must demonstrate sufficient technological competence to protect patient data and manage remote emergencies. Our featured courses include Advanced TeleMental Health Supervision (9 hours), Mastering TeleMental Health (6 hours), Addiction Dynamics and the Family System (5 hours), Psychopharmacology & MAT (5 hours), and Cultural Humility in Behavioral Health (2 hours) — all board-compliant and designed to advance your clinical practice.
