Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
Our Illinois courses are written for professional counselors, clinical professional counselors, social workers, and clinical social workers licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). LPCs and LCPCs complete 30 CE hours every two years, including 3 hours of ethics. Illinois also requires 1 hour of sexual harassment prevention and 1 hour of implicit bias awareness at each renewal, 1 hour of cultural competency once every six years, and 1 hour on Alzheimer's disease and other dementias once every three renewal periods for professionals who serve adults age 26 and older. This category includes all four mandated trainings, plus the Illinois Mandated Training Bundle that combines them at a discount. NBCC is an approved continuing education sponsor for Illinois LPCs and LCPCs, and Dr. Paulson Professional Counseling LLC is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 7987). These courses are designed around IDFPR requirements but are not approved or endorsed by IDFPR. Licensees verify how each requirement applies to their license type with IDFPR.
