Ethical Practice in Addiction Counseling (6 CE Hours)

Overview
Curriculum

Designed specifically for North Dakota Licensed Master Addiction Counselors (LMAC) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselors (LCAC), this comprehensive 6-hour Continuing Education course is designed around the state’s mandatory ethics requirement for licensure renewal. Grounded in the North Dakota Administrative Code and the NAADAC Code of Ethics, this curriculum explores the complex intersection of legal mandates and moral imperatives in addiction practice. Participants will engage in a deep analysis of the counseling relationship, the nuances of confidentiality under 42 CFR Part 2, and the evolving standards for technology-assisted care. By integrating the SAMHSA TAP 21 competencies with state-specific regulations, this course empowers clinicians to navigate ethical dilemmas with professional fortitude and protect client welfare in a diverse and changing landscape. Upon successful completion of the post-test, hours are reported directly to CE Broker.

CE Broker reporting covers the 16 boards in 10 states where I'm a registered provider. Everyone gets a certificate to download right away.
