This comprehensive 8-hour Continuing Education course is specifically designed for North Dakota Licensed Master Addiction Counselors (LMACs) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselors (LCACs). It targets the essential, yet often undervalued, "Practice Dimensions" of Referral and Service Coordination as defined in TAP 21. Going beyond basic clinical theory, this course provides a robust framework for navigating the complex systems of care that surround clients with substance use disorders. Participants will explore the ethical mandates of case management, the legal intricacies of referral confidentiality under 42 CFR Part 2, and the critical role of advocacy in a managed care environment. Grounded in the NAADAC Code of Ethics and North Dakota Administrative Code, this curriculum equips clinicians to build authentically connected referral networks, manage interdisciplinary care for special populations, and evaluate treatment outcomes effectively. Upon successful completion of the post-test, hours are reported directly to CE Broker.
