The FCB Code of Ethics for the CMHP (10 Contact Hours)

Overview
Curriculum

The FCB Code of Ethics for the CMHP is a 10-hour continuing education course that gives Certified Mental Health Professionals (CMHPs) a thorough, practical understanding of the Florida Certification Board (FCB) Code of Ethical and Professional Conduct. The course walks through each group of Rules, including professional standards, criminal activity reporting, professional boundaries, sexual misconduct, exploitation of clients, fraud-related conduct, safety and welfare, records management, and cooperation with the Board, and explains the complaint, investigation, discipline, appeal, and reinstatement processes. Real-world cases from community mental health practice show how the Rules apply in daily work, and an ethical decision-making framework helps CMHPs think through situations the Rules do not address directly.
