This text-based home study course is written for the master's level, non-independent Arizona licensee (LAC, LMSW, LAMFT, or LAAC) who owns or plans to open a supervised private practice. It provides the 3 clock hours of training in behavioral health business operations, including compliance with A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 33, that Ariz. Admin. Code R4-6-217 requires a supervised licensee to complete before providing services.
Across three one-hour modules, participants learn how a supervised private practice differs from independent practice, how to apply for and operate a practice under R4-6-217, what the supervision agreement requires, and how to handle records, policies, advertising, fees, billing, insurance, reports, and the move to independent licensure. Each module includes a practical routine, a ready-to-use compliance tool, and Arizona case studies.
This course is designed around the supervised private practice training requirement in Ariz. Admin. Code R4-6-217 and is not approved or endorsed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
