Florida Certification Board Approved Courses

Dr. Paulson Professional Counseling LLC is an approved education provider with the Florida Certification Board (Approved Provider #5572-A). This page lists our courses organized by FCB credential, covering the full range of certifications from addiction counseling and case management to peer support and gambling counseling. All courses are online, self-paced, and include a certificate of completion after passing a short test.

CAP Tier I requires 150 initial training hours and CAP Tier II requires 250, while MCAP requires 161. All three renew annually with 20 CE hours. See our full breakdown of CAP Tier I, Tier II, and MCAP requirements here.

CRPS requires 40 initial training hours and renews annually with 10 CE hours. Our complete 40-hour CRPS training bundle covers your full initial requirement.


CTTS requires 40 initial training hours (Health Education 3, Assessment and Referral 3, Treatment Planning and Counseling 16, Professional Responsibility 6, and Electives 12) and renews annually with 10 CE hours. Our complete 40-hour CTTS training bundle covers your full initial requirement.


CBHT requires 30 initial training hours and renews annually with 10 CE hours. Our complete 30-hour CBHT initial certification bundle covers your full initial requirement.


CBHCMS requires 50 initial training hours. This credential renews biennially on a March 31 cycle rather than annually.


CRSS requires 70 initial training hours (Legal and Professional Responsibility 20, Re-engagement Crisis Support and Safety 12, Resource Linkage/Follow Up 12, Practical Living Skills/Social Development 12, and Recovery Management 14) and renews annually with 10 CE hours.


CAC requires 250 initial training hours and renews annually with 20 CE hours.


CMHP requires 150 initial training hours and renews annually with 20 CE hours.


CGAC requires 85 initial training hours (Addiction Theories 10, Basic Knowledge of Problems and Pathological Gambling 16, Gambling Counseling Practice 20, Specific Issues in Gambling 24, and Professional Issues 15) and renews annually with 10 CE hours (20 CE hours for MCAP/CAP holders, at least 10 of which must be gambling-specific). Note that CGAC is a prerequisite-based credential: applicants must already hold an active Florida license under Chapter 397, or an active MCAP or CAP credential, before applying. An active National Certified Gambling Counselor I or II credential also satisfies the training hour requirement in place of the 85-hour breakdown above.
