S1: Counselor Development and Clinical Supervision for Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals (6 CE Hours)

Overview
Curriculum

This six-hour, text-based course is written for Ohio LICDC-CS holders, clinical supervisor reciprocal endorsement holders, and LICDCs and LCDC IIIs who provide clinical supervision. It covers the four clinical supervision content areas Ohio requires LICDC-CS holders to address each renewal: assessment and evaluation, counselors' professional development, management and administration, and professional responsibility.

Six modules move from the foundations of addiction supervision and Ohio's supervision framework, through the supervisory relationship and supervisee evaluation, to supervision methods, documentation and telesupervision, and the legal and ethical duties of Ohio supervisors. Each module combines current research and Ohio rules with a practical routine, a hands-on tool, and case studies set in Ohio programs.
