This 2-hour continuing education course satisfies the Michigan Board of Psychology mandatory pain and symptom management training requirement. Practitioners examine the biopsychosocial model of chronic pain, central sensitization, the Fear-Avoidance Model, and evidence-based behavioral interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and quota-contingent activity pacing. The second module addresses pharmacological risk assessment, opioid management, and ethical confidentiality requirements when coordinating care with medical providers.
