Overview
Curriculum

Delivering comprehensive education on trauma-related conditions, this four-clock-hour course examines the principles of etiology, assessment, and treatment planning. Participants explore how acute psychological distress alters biological and cognitive functioning. Identifying specific trauma exposure criteria provides a necessary foundation for accurate diagnostic formulation. Applying standardized assessment tools ensures objective evaluation of dysfunctional behavior and severe emotional pain. This home study course is designed around the continuing education requirements of the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors but is not approved or endorsed by the Board.
